MoDOT asking for comments on STIP

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission received the draft fiscal year 2024-2028 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program this week.

The program, funded by General Revenue and federal funds, aims to enhance transportation infrastructure. It includes projects such as widening I-70, improving minor roads, and upgrading railroad safety crossings.

With a 30-day public review and comment period, the program allocates $14 billion over five years. MoDOT Director Patrick McKenna emphasized the importance of managing funding constraints while improving transportation

statewide. Those interested in seeing the program or offering comments can visit modot.org/draftstip. Comments can be submitted until July 6th, with the final program up for approval on July 12.
