ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A St. Joseph company will be celebrating half a century this weekend. Clarios St. Joseph Operations celebrates 50 years in the community this Saturday.
The plant, which is known for advanced battery technology, employs over 1,000 people and invests heavily in the St. Joseph community.
Saturday's event will feature a brief program, plant tours, food trucks, and rides. The OPTIMA brand Baja 500 race truck will also be on display.
The St. Joseph facility is one of only two in the country that builds sealed Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries, supporting the evolving needs of vehicle power. Clarios is investing over $20 million to power all vehicle types.
