ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A St. Joseph couple is facing charges related to their involvement in the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol.
Steven and Kimberly Dragoo turned themselves in earlier this month and were released until their video conference appearance in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. yesterday.
The criminal complaint against the Dragoo couple includes four misdemeanor allegations, such as entering and remaining in restricted buildings or grounds, disorderly conduct, and parading in a Capitol building.
The charges stem from their documented breach of the Capitol, which includes a photo of Kim Dragoo outside a broken window.
The 65-year-old and 54-year-old duo were interviewed by the FBI in St. Joseph back in January 2021. They admitted to traveling to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 5 to participate in the "Stop the Steal" rally organized by former President Donald Trump. The couple posted videos on Facebook documenting their time at the rally.
