JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Mike Parson is being praised for a bill that was signed into law this year.

The Missouri champion of Child Coalition says Gov. Parson approved a $78 million grant to support low-income, working families in accessing child care as well as $86 million in grants to public schools and child care facilities in providing high quality pre-K education.

Director of Outreach and Engagement for Kids Win Missouri Casey Hanson felt that Gov. Parson and the General Assembly took historic steps in supporting children and families.

Hanson says these early childhood investments provide critical resources to address the child care crisis and improve access to proven early education programs for kids in communities across the state.
