The Falls City Public Schools held its regular monthly board meeting to discuss progress on facility improvements.
Superintendent Tim Heckenlively says the district has made renovations to the high school as well as increased security systems.
Heckenlively adds new fire alarms have been added, as well as new carpet in some classrooms.
Other items discussed that were passed during the 2023 Nebraska legislative session, include bills that could require policy changes for things such as option enrollment, dress code, and graduation requirements.
