Keeping children healthy is as expensive as it is essential, and some states in our listening area are doing a better job than others.
According to the financial website Wallet-Hub, Iowa is the 14th best state in the nation when it comes to children's healthcare. Missouri ranked 18th, Nebraska ranked 19th and Kansas ranked 36th. Wallet-Hub considered several factors, including the cost of healthcare, access to healthcare, the infant-death rate, and several other metrics.
The state with the best children's healthcare was Massachusetts, while Mississippi had the worst.
