Fishing for catfish is a fun summer tradition for many Iowa families.
Daniel Vogeler of the fisheries Bureau Iowa Department of Natural Resources says this is the perfect time to catch some catfish.
Vogeler says catfish will bite most of the time, no matter what the water temperature is and suggests using the DNR interactive fishing atlas to help you find the best locations to fish.
