The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering free fishing lessons later this month.
The lessons will happen on July 24th, 25th, and 28th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Everyday Pond in Saint Joseph. Media specialist for the MDC, Bill Graham, says it's a great opportunity for people who have never fished before and those looking to improve.
Graham says the lessons are open to participants ages 5 and older. Youths must be accompanied by an adult and participants ages 16 to 64 will need a valid fishing permit.
