MARYVILLE, Mo. - More improvements are coming to the Thomson Splash 'N' Play in Maryville.
At Monday night's meeting, the city council approved a nearly $37,447 contract with ABCreative to purchase and install turf surrounding the splash pad.
City Manager Greg McDanel says the turf will be installed after the completion and installation of a nearby playground that was donated by the Thomson family.
Funds were freed up for the turf after work on a new restroom facility was donated. A grand reopening of the splash pad will happen next summer after all of the new amenities are installed.
