MARYVILLE, Mo. - Teacher shortages are being seen across Missouri, and the nation, but is the Maryville R-2 School District seeing them?

Superintendent Dr. Logan Lightfoot says they are all ready to go before the start of school next month.

Lightfoot says that the shortage is real; not only for teachers, but for administrators and principals. He adds that the talent pool out there is definitely different than it was 10 years ago.

Last school year the district did have a shortage of school bus drivers, but after a lot of recruitment, the Maryville school district is fully staffed on that end as well.
