St. Joseph 18-year-old arrested in Kentucky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - A St. Joseph male has been arrested and charged in Kentucky. Owensboro police arrested Caleb Newell, 18, early Wednesday morning at a vacant residence.

An investigation that morning led the department to accuse Newell of traveling to Kentucky to have sex with a 12-year-old girl that he met online.

Newell is now charged with 11 counts of second degree sodomy, four counts of second degree rape, criminal trespassing and providing a false name to a police officer.

He's in the Daviess County Jail in Kentucky. No other details have been released.
