ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Recent storms have flattened corn across the KXCV/KRNW listening area. Some crops have been uprooted, with roots broken below the soil surface.

Field Specialist in Agronomy with the University of Missouri Extension Wayne Flanary says that fields one to two weeks from tasseling have the greatest potential to "goose-neck" as the stalks are still elongating.

Flanary asks farmers to search for differences of plants within fields and flag plants so you can follow their recovery. For more information, contact the university of Missouri extension at 816-279-1691.
