ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A multi-national telecommunications giant has ended its battle against one city hall in the KXCV/KRNW listening area.
St. Joseph officials confirm that AT&T has dropped its lawsuit over the denied permit for a telecommunications tower near Karnes Road and Morton Lane.
The proposal was met with strong resistance from home owners and the city council denied them because the applications fell short of city code requirements.
The company withdrew its federal lawsuits and is now suggesting a new tower location, near Karnes and North Woodbine Roads.
However, just like last time, the new proposal still needs the St. Joseph City Council's green light for approval.
