NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - A new art exhibit is captivating visitors at Morton-James Public Library's Kimmel Gallery in Nebraska City. The "Just Nita" art exhibit will be on display through Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Artist Nita Whitney's journey from childhood dreams of equine art to a remarkable recovery after an injury has led to her dry pastel creations. Whitney says that her art and work is inspired by dynamic cloud formations and scenes from her travels.

Her creativity and determination stand as an inspiration to those who visit the exhibit, especially having worked with individuals with disabilities.

The exhibit is available during regular Library hours; Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information about the exhibit or the library, call 402-873-5609
