KC man seriously injured in DeKalb County wreck

CAMERON, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a man in the hospital with serious injuries after a two-car crash in DeKalb County.

The Patrol says the crash occured between a 2009 Chevy Impala, driven by 19-year-old Brianna Filley of Cameron, and a 2012 Chevy Impala, driven by 30-year-old Harry Jenkins of Kansas City.

The 2012 Chevy was driving on 36 Highway when it collided with a 2009 Chevy crossing the highway at Ensign Trace Crossing at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Seven people sustained injuries in the crash, but only Jenkins suffered serious injuries. Jenkins wasn't wearing his seat belt. He was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
