JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - If you're looking to transform your yard, field or landscape with native trees and shrubs, the Missouri Department of Conservation can help you out.
According to a press release from the MDC, the George O. White State Forest Nursery is your source for affordable, one-year-old native seedlings.
From pine to oak, blackberry to redbud, a variety of species are available. Early orders are recommended as popular choices sell out quickly. Bundles of 10 or 25 seedlings can be ordered, ranging from $0.34 to $1 each.
Orders open up this Friday and can be placed through April 15 of next year. For more information, or to buy seedling, visit mdc.mo.gov/trees-plants.
