ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is making a splash with Free Fishing Days this month throughout the KXCV/KRNW listening area.
You can join MDC staff and volunteers to learn fishing basics, practice your skills, and catch some fun at two events in northwest Missouri. Tackle and bait are provided.
The first of two events will be on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at Nodaway County Lake near Maryville, from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The second event will be a Fly Fishing Clinic on Friday, Aug. 25 at Everyday Pond in St. Joseph from 5 p.m. to 6-30 p.m. All ages are welcome at both events. For details and registration, visit the MDC's website at mdc.mo.gov.
