MU Extension Office offering drought support to farmers

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Farmers facing another year of drought uncertainty in Missouri are finding support from the University of Missouri Extension.

With the threat of a fourth significant drought in six years, MU Extension specialists are offering science-based solutions to mitigate the impacts.

They've developed a Drought Resources webpage, providing guidance for farmers and ranchers to manage their operations during water scarcity.

Notably, they're addressing the mental distress often linked to these challenges. Resources like free, confidential teletherapy sessions and helplines are available for farmers and their families.

The University says they're committed to helping farmers cope with both the physical and mental strains of drought. Learn more at mizzou.us/droughtresources.
