New Nodaway Humane Society still "clearing the shelter"

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Even with less than two weeks left in August, the New Nodaway Humane Society is hoping you'll help them clear the shelter.

"Clear the Shelters" is a nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign. That means that for the rest of this month, adoptions are half price or less.

At the New Nodaway Humane Society, dogs and puppies are $50 while cats and kittens are $30. At last check, the shelter had well over 100 animals to adopt and the shelter has even had to turn away numerous out-of-county pleas for help.

Even if you aren't able to adopt, you can ask the New Nodaway Humane Society about volunteering or fostering. For more information, visit newnodawayhumanesociety.org or call 660-562-3333.
