MARYVILLE, Mo. - A new form of therapy, that you've probably never heard of, is now available in Maryville.

Counselors Courtney Koch and Hayston Wilson opened Hallelujah Therapy several weeks ago, bringing a combined 14 years of experience to Maryville.

But it's Counselor Wilson that's offering a unique form of therapy, called eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or EMDR.

Wilson says it involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories.

Wilson says the goal of EMDR is to help you heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.
