Shenandoah Chamber looking for marathon volunteers

SHENANDOAH, Iowa - The Shenandoah Chamber and Industry Association still needs help for an upcoming event.

The Association needs volunteers on Saturday, Sept. 9, for the Wabash Trace Nature Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, and Marathon Relay. With runners converging from near and far, the 12th annual event requires a dedicated team of volunteers.

SCIA Marketing Director Shelly Warner says the courses range from Imogene to Shenandoah, with finish lines at the historical museum.

Officials say they need volunteers to be road guards and corner attendants in town. They're also looking for volunteers to help with handing out packet preparations, medal distribution, and more.

If you'd like to volunteer, contact the SCIA at 712-246-3455. If you're interested in running, you can still register at sciaiowa.com.
