TRENTON, Mo. - The city of Trenton has approved a new tool for property owners.
At it's latest meeting, the city's Board of Aldermen approved a bill which signs the city up for the Property Assessed Clean Energy financing mechanism.
City Administrator Jake Taylor says it's a federal program which fits large and small-scale low-income properties.
Taylor adds that this won't affect the power grid that the city owns. Unlike other financing options, PACE offers secured, fixed-rate, up-front financing for eligible improvements with repayment terms of up to 20 years.
