COVID-19 vaccines now available at Hy-Vee

DES MOINES, Iowa - An area grocery chain has announced the availability of updated COVID-19 vaccines at their pharmacy locations.

In a press release, Hy-Vee says these vaccines are currently offered to individuals aged 12 and older. Appointments can be scheduled in advance on the Hy-Vee website or walk-ins are accepted during regular pharmacy hours.

Additionally, individuals can request flu and RSV vaccines at the same time as their COVID-19 vaccination.

The FDA and CDC recommend that everyone aged six months and older receive the updated COVID-19 vaccines for the upcoming season.

Those previously vaccinated should wait at least two months after their last dose before receiving the new version.

These updated vaccines are reformulated to provide better protection against current virus variants causing infections and hospitalizations in the U.S.
