Elderly man dies in single-vehicle wreck

MARTINSVILLE, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an elderly Martinsville man is dead after a single-vehicle wreck in Harrison County.

The Patrol says John Eaton, 74, was driving a 2009 Chevy 1500 on Route W, about five miles outside of Martinsville.

At 7:58 a.m. Wednesday, the Chevy traveled off the road and struck a tree. Eaton, who wasn't wearing his seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene about 20 minutes later.
