BETHANY, Mo. - Missouri's native grasslands will be celebrated later this month. Free Prairie Day happens at Dunn Ranch Prairie in Harrison County, on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Some of the activities panned for the event are nature exhibits, a guided bird hike, stories about Native Americans on the prairie and Bison tours.
Missouri Department of Conservation Media Specialist Bill Graham says the tours are one of the most popular activities.
Prairie Day begins with a guided bird hike at 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. at Pawnee Ranch with the rest of the activities taking place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dunn Ranch Picnic Shelter. For more information, call 816-271-3100.
