MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Site is gearing up to receive household hazardous waste next month.
The site will be open on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Nodaway County Maintenance Barn in Maryville.
This drop-off service is exclusively for residents of Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway, and Worth counties and comes at no cost. Officials say you should remember to bring your ID. Commercial or business waste won't be accepted.
Accepted items include bleach, ammonia, household cleaners, pesticides, and more. Keep materials in their original containers. However, latex paint and commercial waste won't be accommodated.
