SEDALIA, Mo. - Gov. Mike Parson and State Fair Director Mark Wolfe have announced that this year's Missouri State Fair in Sedalia welcomed nearly 350,000 visitors, marking a 2.5% increase from the previous year.
Survey data revealed that many fairgoers attend because of cherished family traditions.
Agricultural exhibits, family-friendly attractions, food, shopping, camping, and concerts, including a sold-out Lainey Wilson show and a nearly sold-out Nelly concert, were among the highlights.
The carnival midway also enjoyed a successful year, with record-breaking days for revenue.
Missouri Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn noted that livestock and competitive entries exceeded 25,500, with significant increases in dairy cattle, rabbits, and various agricultural categories.
Next year's Missouri State Fair is scheduled for Aug. 8-18 in Sedalia.
