Ribbon cutting held for Phase I completion of South Main

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The city of Maryville made it official. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Monday afternoon for the first phase of the South Main corridor improvement project.

It's a long time coming, especially since overhauling South Main was an idea raised in 2012, with construction beginning in late 2021. City Manager Greg McDanel says the focus now turns to Phase two of the project.

McDanel adds that this delay helps the city by allowing city officials to work on some financial opportunities behind the scenes.
