ALBANY, Mo. - A summer storm is causing budget issues in one Missouri city. On June 29th, a devastating storm struck Albany and the surrounding areas.

City Administrator Derek Brown stated that he's lived here his whole life and hasn't seen anything like it. The storm made extensive damage to their electric distribution system, broke light poles, and even knocked over trees.

The Board of Aldermen has had to revise their 2023-24 fiscal year budget due to the costs of cleanup and restorations.

Brown has stated that most of the debris has been cleaned up and there's only a few signs of the storm left in the city.
