MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville Public Library is going to be transformed into a cat lovers paradise this weekend. From 10 a.m. until noon in the adult section, the library will be running the Cat Health Education and Cat Café program.

You can expect a talk on cat health by the New Nodaway Humane Society, quality time with some adoptable kittens, and a complimentary coffee and donut, thanks to Oak Pointe.

Keep in mind, if you're thinking of adopting a furry friend, regular shelter fees apply. As an added bonus, the library has thrown in a craft session where up to 24 adults can create a cat wand toy for their feline companions.

While it's designed for adults, all ages are welcome. If you plan to attend, the library would appreciate it if you register at the front desk or by giving them a call at 660-582-5281.
