DES MOINES, Iowa - Iowans are encouraged to participate in the Iowa Department of Natural Resources' annual Volunteer Day this weekend.
The statewide event is scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday takes place across various parks and forests in the Hawkeye State. The aim is to enhance trails, facilities, and park amenities.
Iowa DNR officials expressed gratitude for the invaluable help provided by volunteers in maintaining these cherished state parks.
Activities for Volunteer Day will differ by location, including tasks like litter cleanup, painting, tree planting, and trail clearing. Interested individuals can find more information at iowadnr.gov/volunteer.
