Friends of the SJPL hosting book sale next week

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Friends of the St. Joseph Public Library is hoping you find some literary treasures next week. The book sale begins for Friends Only next Thursday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Downtown Library.

The sale opens to the public at 3 P-M on the same day, featuring heavily discounted hardcovers, paperbacks, DVDs, and CDs.

Running through Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a Sunday half-price special from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the sale concludes on Monday, Oct. 23, with a “bag and box day” from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

That's where you can all you can in a bag or box for a certain price. The sale boasts over 10,000 items, categorized for easy browsing, spanning fiction, romance, mystery, children's books, and more.

Proceeds support literacy programs and book clubs, with the Friends organization welcoming new members at the sale. For additional information, call 816-236-2107.
