MERCER, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an Iowa woman is dead after a three-vehicle wreck in Mercer County.
The Patrol says a 2005 Ford F-150, driven by Bryant Elder of Princeton, 34, was driving on U.S. Highway 65, less than half a mile north of Mercer.
At 7:25 a.m. Monday, the Ford crossed the center line of the highway and struck a tractor. The Ford then traveled more, colliding with a 2015 Chevy Impala, driven by Deanna Dorsey of Osceola, 51.
Dorsey, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene about 20 minutes later by authorities. Elder was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital with serious injuries.
He was later taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Life Flight Eagle.
