KS couple arrested during drug bust

BROWN COUNTY, Kan. - A search warrant in Kansas, near the Nebraska border, has led to the apprehension of a couple on the Iowa Reservation following the discovery of illegal drugs.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies, along with the Iowa Tribal Police Department, executed the warrant at on the Iowa Reservation before 8 p.m. last Monday.

Law enforcement conducting the search uncovered illegal drugs on the property, leading to the arrest of 47-year-old Christy Butrick, 59-year-old and Larry Butrick.

Both individuals were booked into the Brown County Jail on charges including possession of opiates, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
