JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - In response to the recent findings from Gov. Mike Parson’s Drought Assessment Committee, Missouri State Treasurer Vivek Malek has declared an extension of the Farm Relief Loan Program until Tuesday, October 31.

Originally designed to provide low-interest loans through the MoBUCK$ initiative, the Farm Relief Loan Program prioritizes support for farmers and ranchers grappling with the impacts of drought.

The State Treasurer’s Office has been accepting applications since August 17 and has witnessed a surge in demand for the Farm Relief Loan program.

By leveraging this program, lenders can reduce interest rates for borrowers by approximately two-to-three percent, offering financial relief to those affected by drought-related challenges.

There is a cap of $1 million. Those interested in applying are encouraged to consult their lenders or reach out to the State Treasurer’s Office at 573-751-9443 or visit mobucks.mo.gov.
