MARYVILLE, Mo. - Charges have been filed in connection with a shooting inside of a Maryville business.
Richard Chance, 48, has been charged with one-count second-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault and one county of unlawful use of a weapon.
Police say around 3 p.m. on October 18, officers were called to Inque Jester Tattoo on S. Main St., over reports of a disturbance, including a gun being fired through a window.
According to a probably cause statement, Chance was having a dispute with another tattoo artist before striking the tattoo artist and drawing a handgun. Chance told police he shot in self-defense.
The other tattoo artist suffered a hole wound in his left earlobe, but isn't sure if it's from a bullet or the muzzle blast. Chance was booked into the Nodaway County jail. His bond was set at $100,000.
