JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Economic Development has unveiled its State Digital Opportunity Plan and BEAD Initial Proposal Volume 1. With the unveiling, the department is also asking for public comment.

With more than $1.7 billion earmarked for broadband deployment and over $20 million to tackle digital participation barriers, these documents outline Missouri's strategy.

The Digital Opportunity Plan aims to bridge the digital divide, and the BEAD program pledges to extend service to underserved areas.

Public input is crucial, and citizens can contribute through surveys until Sunday, November 26th. More information, as well as links to comment, are at ded.mo.gov. For those unable to comment online, contact the DED at 573-751-4962.
