Sheriff's Office looking for suspect in armed robbery

WITHROP, Mo. - The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying an individual that committed an armed robbery.

The Sheriff's Office says the suspect walked into Smoker's Heaven in Winthrop on Wednesday, October 11 around 7:30 p.m. with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 30-to-40-years-old, wearing a white hat, blue bandana face covering, maroon shirt, grey sweapants, grey shoes, and black and blue gloves.

After the robbery, the suspect fled in a light-colored four door sedan, driven by another unidentified suspect. The vehicle went into Kansas via the Amelia Earhart bridge.
