ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - St, Joseph residents are in for a unique historical treat this week. The 21st annual Voices of the Past event takes place at Mount Mora Cemetery this Thursday and Friday, with shows at 6, 7 and 8 p.m.

Organizer Bob Fitzpatrick highlights the focus on the city's mayors, with 21 of the 46 mayors resting at the cemetery. The event unfolds in chronological order, bringing the stories of these mayors to life.

Local actors will be utilized in the event, including portrayals of Mayor Jeff Thompson by Bob Ford and Armstrong Beattie by Marshall White.

The event will also feature tales from the wives of three mayors. Limited tickets are available, and reservations can be made online at stjosephmuseum.org/events.
