MOUND CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is hoping you make it out to Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge near Mound City this upcoming weekend.

The 44th annual Eagle Days will be Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will get a chance to witness live captive eagle shows and interpretive stops along the refuge wetlands' driving tour.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, attendees can explore educational nature exhibits and live eagle shows presented by the World Bird Sanctuary staff every hour.

Alongside eagles, visitors can marvel at a variety of wildlife, including trumpeter swans, geese, ducks, and shorebirds, in the wetland pools.

The event's success hinges on the weather, with the potential to witness numerous eagles perched on trees or muskrat lodges.

Cameras and binoculars are recommended, and spotting scopes will be available at select locations along the tour route. More information is at mdc.mo.gov.
