JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri high school seniors graduating next year have the opportunity to apply for Youth in Agriculture scholarships, with applications now being accepted by the Missouri State Fair and the Youth in Agriculture Committee.
The application form is available at mostatefair.com, and the deadline for submission is January 16 of next year.
The scholarships total $93,000, marking the highest amount ever awarded, thanks to generous contributions from individuals and companies supporting Youth in Agriculture.
Selected students are required to enroll in an accredited community college, college, or university in the fall and/or spring semester following high school graduation.
The scholarships are funded through the generosity of sponsors, supporters, and livestock buyers participating in the annual Sale of Champions, with a portion of each animal's sale price contributing to the scholarship program.
