MO State Treasurer touts MOBUCK$ in Maryville

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Missouri State Treasurer Vivek Malek addressed local leaders at the Nodaway County Courthouse in Maryville.

On Monday, Malek emphasizing the impact of the MOBUCK$, a low-interest loan program on the community. As inflation drives up interest rates, the program has provided vital support to farmers and small business owners.

In the last program year, Nodaway County received around eight-point-three million dollars in low-interest rate loans through MOBUCK$.

Treasurer Malek, recognizing the program's significance, plans to push for legislation expanding its capacity.

The Missouri General Assembly will convene on January 3, and Malek aims to secure increased funding to continue aiding local businesses and farmers.
