JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - State Treasurer Vivek Malek has announced that Missouri’s school choice program has surpassed the number of scholarships awarded in the previous cycle, with three months still to go.
MOScholars was established last year and it offers eligible children scholarships of up to $6,375 for tuition at private, charter schools, or homeschooling.
Last cycle saw 1,361 scholarships awarded, and this year, 1,487 scholarships have already been granted, indicating a significant increase in demand.
