MSHP: Teen injured in single-vehicle crash

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a teenager is in the hospital after a single vehicle wreck.

The Patrol says the 17-year-old girl from Brookfield was driving a 2003 Chevy Silverado on U.S. Highway 36, four miles west of Chillicothe.

At 8:40 p.m. Saturday, the teen lost control of the vehicle on the snow covered roads. The Chevy slid into a guardrail. The teen, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Hedrick Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
