MARYVILLE, Mo. - In a recent announcement, the Missouri Department of Transportation revealed that the City of Maryville is set to receive significant funding through the Transportation Alternatives Program for three vital pedestrian trail projects.
The federally funded TAP focuses on unconventional transportation initiatives, aiming to improve the overall transportation experience. Maryville has secured a little over $1 million for key projects, including the Munn Avenue Trail Extension, the South Main Trail Connection, and the South Main Phase 2 Pedestrian Enhancement.
These initiatives address critical gaps in the city's trail system, connecting key locations and enhancing accessibility.
The TAP funding is a crucial step in realizing these projects, contributing to the city's ongoing commitment to sustainable and equitable transportation development.
