MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University is mourning the loss of one of its graduate students.
Hemanth Yallanki, a student from India enrolled in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems, was discovered deceased Thursday on campus.
The University Police Department is actively investigating the incident, and at this point, no foul play is suspected.
University President Dr. Tatum and his team expressed deep sorrow over this tragic event, extending their condolences to Hemanth's family and friends.
As the Northwest community copes with this loss, crisis counseling support is being offered to all members. The university encourages individuals to reach out by calling 988 for assistance.
