Two arrests made in Red Oak

RED OAK, Iowa - In Red Oak, police made two separate arrests late Monday night.

Around 11 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near Broadway and Maple Streets, leading to the arrest of 18-year-old Michael David Johnson of Red Oak.

Johnson faced two active warrants, one from Page County for Violation of Probation with a $2,000 cash-only bond and another from Taylor County for second degree theft with a $5,000 cash-only bond.

He is currently held at the Montgomery County Jail. Shortly after, at 11:25 p.m., 52-year-old Philip Luke Turner of Red Oak was arrested in the 1400 block of Miller Avenue for Domestic Abuse Assault.

Turner is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail, awaiting a Magistrate appearance.
