ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - A 25-year-old man has been charged in the shooting death of another man in St. Joseph. Nathan Keegan is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 35-year-old Curtis Cruse, Jr.

Police say Cruse was shot dead in the back parking lot of Speedy's Convenience Store off of South Riverside Road, shortly after 4 p.m. last Friday.

Police say Keegan and Cruse got into a dispute of some kind while driving on U.S. Highway 36. It continued as the two drover their cars off the highway onto Riverside where they pulled nito Speedy's.

The preliminary investigation shows that Keegan was the only one who fired shots in the disturbance. Both men had passengers in their cars, but the passengers weren't harmed. The investigation continues.
