Conception Abbey to celebrate 150 years in NWMO

CONCEPTION, Mo. - Get ready for a historic celebration as the monks of Conception Abbey mark 150 years of monastic life this Friday.

While the anniversary event is "by invitation only," the monks extend an invitation to the public to join the celebration this Sunday.

The day will commence with Mass at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Right Reverend Benedict Neenan,with a homily by Reverend Paul Sheller.

Following Mass, a light luncheon and program will be offered to those who stay. The monks express their gratitude to the local community for their support over the years and invite everyone to share in this special moment.

Guests are also welcome to explore the Gift Shop and view newly renovated historical display cases. To ensure ample seating, individuals and groups are encouraged to register at conceptionabbey.org.
