ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The University of Missouri Extension presents the 2024 Great Plains Growers Conference and trade show next month.
The conference takes place from January 11-13 in St. Joseph. The conference offers a variety of events from pre-conference workshops to a talk with keynote speaker Karen "Mimo" Davis.
Davis will open the conference at 9 a.m. on January 12 and will speak on "Finding Your Niche for Farming Over the Long Haul" as she shares her journey to becoming a year-round grower and seller of cut flowers.
Pre-conference workshops offered on January 11 include agritourism, worker protection standards-produce safety, Farm to School grower training, and more. Separate registration is required for the pre-conference workshops.
